Zest was founded in 2013 by husband-and-wife team Chris and Nicola Curson.
After years working in larger accountancy firms, they felt there was a better way to support small business owners. Too often, clients felt like just another number, only hearing from their accountant when accounts or tax returns were due.
They wanted to create something different.
A friendly, approachable accountancy practice where clients feel comfortable picking up the phone, asking questions and getting the support they need throughout the year.
Today, that's exactly what Zest is.
The team works with small businesses, providing clear advice, quick answers and practical support. By taking the time to understand each client and their business, they can offer advice that's relevant, straightforward and easy to act on.

Chris Curson FCCA
Co-Founder
Chris has over 30 years of experience helping small business owners stay in control of their finances. Known for his practical advice and straightforward approach, he enjoys building long-term relationships with clients and helping them make confident business decisions.
Before founding Zest, Chris worked as a Senior Manager at a leading London accountancy firm. Today, he focuses on providing clear advice, quick answers and ongoing support to businesses across a wide range of industries.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys riding his motorbike, fishing and playing Pickleball.
Nicola Curson ACA
Co-Founder
Nicola is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience supporting businesses of all sizes. Having worked in both practice and industry, she combines technical expertise with practical advice that helps business owners feel more confident about their finances.
Away from the office, Nicola enjoys creating handmade clothing through her love of sewing and thrashing Chris at Pickleball.
Claire Corinaldesi AATQB
Client Accountant
Claire leads our bookkeeping department and works closely with clients on everything from day-to-day bookkeeping to self-assessment tax returns and year-end accounts. Claire is a trusted part of the team, known for her attention to detail and commitment to helping clients stay organised and on track.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her young family and making the most of days out together.
